The City of Glenwood is accepting applications for a part-time deputy city clerk. This position will provide administrative support to the City Clerk & City Administrator. Responsibilities include answering phones, greeting citizens, filing, meeting preparation, assisting with accounts payables & receivables and payroll. Candidate must be detail oriented, proficient with Microsoft office & Google applications.  High school graduate or equivalent, associate or bachelor degree preferred with 5-7 years of administrative experience. Park & Recreation Areas Assistant – This position has been filled.

The City of Glenwood is hiring for the position of park & rec areas assistant, this a full time position which includes benefits.

Work includes maintaining and repairing all city parks & rec areas – fixed and moveable equipment, playground equipment, park facilities, shelters, restrooms, campground sites, recreation areas including basketball, tennis & pickleball courts, football & soccer fields.

Grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, weed eating, litter & stick pick up and tree trimming.

Cleaning & maintaining grills, bathrooms & campground showers. Other duties as assigned Reports to the Park Superintendent.

Must be able to work longer hours; including some weekends during the summer season.

Qualifications: Must be 18 year or older, have a valid drivers license, experience with operating tractors, mowers, field draggers, chainsaws, power tools, etc. Must be able to obtain pesticide applicators license and pass pre-employment physicals and drug screen.

The City of Glenwood Public Works Department is seeking a full-time street crew member. Applicants must have a valid class B CDL w/airbrakes and a high school diploma.

Experience with the following:
Concrete work
running construction equipment

Some duties include:
Opening and closing City Pool
Operating a dump truck
Operating a snow plow

Hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. with some on-call hours as needed.
